Me, I like a good Labrador Retriever. But I don't live in a total shit area where I need a serious guard dog. I couldn't own a Pitbull if I wanted to, the breed is banned in Denver.

The last dog I had, sadly, died of old age a few months back. He was an 15 year old overweight Miniature Pincher that was more effective as a watch dog than all the breeds mentioned on this thread.

How, you may ask, is a little 15lb and 15 year old dog more effective then say a Rottweiler? I'll tell you how.

That little dog had ears like sonar. Believe me, no-one could get on my property without that little dog barking and warning me. Not even the letter carriers who actually knew him. And I'm what the libtards affectionately deem a far right gun nut. And I don't have to go far anyplace in my house to lay my hands on firepower.

I've yet to meet anyone who doesn't seriously reconsider their bad intentions upon hearing the slide racked on a 12 Gauge. It makes a VERY distinct sound. And I keep mine loaded with 00 Buck, and it's equipped with a mag light. Whatever that light touches aint going to be around after I pull the trigger. I can blow through a wall with it and take out anything on the other side.
